Fewa Lake


Fewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal after Rara lake, is the center of all attraction in Pokhara.  It is the largest and the most gorgeous enchanting of the three lakes (Begnas and Rupa ) that add to the resplendence of Pokhara. One can sail or row a hired boat across to the water or visit the island temple in its middle. The eastern shore, popularly known as lakeside or Baidam, is the favorite home base for visitors and is where most of the hotels, restaurants and handicraft shops are located. Fewa lake is surrounded by aa combination of monkey filled forest known as Raniban and high white peaks. Majority of the hotels at lakeside are traditionally designedso that attracts the attention of internal as well as foreign tourists. The pure reflection of fishtail and mirror like water in the early morning are something one most observe at least once in lifetime.
